报告摘要：In this talk, I address about inverse problems in geophysics and the related solution methods. Generally, inverse problems are ill-posed in the sense that one of the three items “existence, uniqueness or stability” of the solution may be violated. In geophysics, nearly all inverse problems are ill-posed because of the limitations of observations and instability during inversion computation.
Big data and artificial intelligence (AI) are hot topics in recent years. In this talk, I also formulate the related problems in big data and AI as some kinds of inverse problems. Mathematical modeling and related solving methodology are given. Several case studies are performed and interpreted.
报告人简介：
王彦飞，男，中国科学院地质与地球物理研究所研究员。任中国科学院油气资源研究重点实验室主任，大数据分析方法与智能计算学科组组长。
2001年以来，发表学术论文100余篇，发明专利10多项，出版论著6部。2013年获国家杰出青年科学基金资助，并获中国青年科技奖。王彦飞是国内外10个学术刊物的编委，并任Petroleum Science副主编。他应邀做多次国际特邀大会报告，并作为大会主席主持了4届国际会议。
他主持了包括中国科学院知识创新工程重要方向性项目、先导专项课题、国家自然科学基金重大研究计划项目、重大科研装备研制项目课题、国际合作项目、中外企业合作等多项项目的研究。
他的研究涵盖了数学物理反问题基础理论与方法、反问题在地球物理中的应用、数据及模型的联合反演以及成果转化等多个方面。
